The buttons in xerj skin have poor contrast and are not very readable, especially when selected and the contrast is even lower. The mini buttons with the icons are much better but there are no icons on the top buttons.

Also looking at the pictures above makes it obvious why the xerj skin is so annoying - the main background areas are too dark.

The xerj logout button is very bright red. it is not the most important thing in xcraft so there is no need for it to stand out that much. In terran skin the button is same as others. Even in the version of terran skin where it is red it does not stand out that much because the background is very dark.


The xerj skin background has very annoying pattern - it forms kind of vertical-horizontal dot grid. If you studied typography you would know that this kind of pattern is very distracting and should be avoided. You can see that patterns at various different angles are used in offset printed newspapers and magazines.


The sides of the caption decoration look truncated. I guess they would look better with bigger teeth.
